Ishwar Gupta, another well-known poet of Bengal, was the first to engage in inquiry and research about the saintly poet Ramprasad. The controversy over the exact year of Ramprasad’s birth has been settled by Dr

Dinesh Chandra Bhattacharya.

He estimated his birth month Ashwin, year 1127 (1720 AD) based on the poet’s birth chart. Iswar Gupta also decided about 1720 AD.
